Pascal Campion is a French-American illustrator and animator. He studied narrative illustration at Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg, in France. He revels in the company of his wife and daughter and finds it very hard to write about himself. He works in a studio with high ceilings in San Francisco.
I love his style. The light and movement in some of his pieces are incredible. I love the way he creates the lighting effects along with the painterly look makes each work have such a strong feeling of design. I found this video online of him talking about his work and inspiration with a small peak of his personal workflow. Which is fascinating. He paints right into flash. and from flash he add the final touches and lighting in photoshop. Which i had never thought about doing. Which could be a possible work flow for my project for the backgrounds perhaps.
